PANZETTI / TICCONI: AeReA
Ginevra Panzetti, Enrico Ticconi
Panzetti / Ticconi is an innovative artistic duo of performers that has been working between Berlin and Turin since 2008. Ginevra Panzetti and Enrico Ticconi create choreographies that combine dance, performance, and visual art, exploring historical and contemporary themes of communication, power, and violence. Their works are minimalistic and invite the viewer to meditate on the relationship between body, time, and place. In their interpretation, movement is the language of philosophical reflection.
Panzetti / Ticconi won the prestigious award Premio Hermès Danza Triennale Milano for the choreography of AeReA, in which bodies from the recent and more distant past approach us from afar. They carry their fate, which seems to have already happened, and yet it simultaneously becomes our own future fate. The fragility and fluidity of movement defines space, time, and also a struggle for our own selves. Do we still believe we have a choice?
