Kateřina Procházková

journalist, correspondent, and analyst

Kateřina Procházková is a journalist, correspondent, and analyst. She currently works for the project Sinopsis, which aims to provide regular overviews of developments in China and their impact on the world from the perspective of Chinese, Czech, and international observers and media. Procházková’s areas of expertise include disinformation, propaganda, diplomacy, human rights, and media. Together with Kateřina Bursíková Jacques, she prepared a book about the friendship between the Dalai Lama and Václav Havel. She is a member of a number of prestigious journalistic organisations, including the Foreign Correspondents’ Club and the Beijing International Society. Procházková studied journalism at the University of Ostrava and the University of Glasgow, and she acquired her language skills at National Taiwan University in Taipei, Beijing Foreign Studies University, and Sophia University in Tokyo. She worked for many years as an editor for the foreign news department of Czech Television, and she was also a correspondent for Czech Radio in Asia, where she lived for over a decade, specifically in Hong Kong, Taipei, and Beijing.
